Got my grandmama’s mechanical Timex back from the repair shop today. They got the movement running smoothly, changed the crystal, and threw in a strap.
It still feels like yesterday that I was clearing out her things and found this among the piles. I wish it could tell me the stories of the things it saw when she wore it. It scratched, aged, and perfect.

I'm sure I have a copy of the code list that @WabiSabiMaster sent me sometime ago. I'll post it when I find it. Enjoy the watch.. 70 years old and still ticking means Timex are better than they generally get credit for. 🤓

Wow, thank you. This would date the watch during her first marriage…A marriage we always suspected, but she never spoke of. The part of her life that I have the most questions about…that this wristwatch was there for.
