Another Hunt Concluded: First Microbrand
Just received my first microbrand watch. Been trying to acquire the Resolute II for some time now from the Farer website. It was always out of stock. Have signed up for notification of re-stocking but seems to take forever. Suddenly this very good example turned-up in my favorite local buy-and-sell site here in PH. Complete with sleeve, carrying case, hang tag, cleaning cloth, instruction manual and guarantee card. Sent an offer to the seller below asking price which was rather tentatively accepted. 😂 Sometimes wishes are granted if you wish hard enough! So here we are... 😊😉😘

Farer’s backlight lume is so cool. Not only does it look great, it’s an excellent design-oriented solution to the problem of how to make a legible light colored watch while providing good lume. I have one white-dialed watch (a Tag Monaco), but its polished steel hands and indices aren’t nearly as instantly legible as this watch.

Indeed, black printing on solid lume material markers is brilliant! Must have been really tedious and exacting to accomplish. This is the stuff that watch enthusiasts appreciate and celebrate in watches. The little details and precision in manufacture really delivers the fine tuning to an otherwise regular piece. 😉
Farer are one of the few microbrands that truly stagger me, if you buy now you will be smiling in years to come when they aren’t a microbrand anymore, but a major brand.
