If I could only have one watch - which one would you chose?
Duel of the Japanese giants!
Citizen Promaster Diver
44mm of titanium solar utility watch
or
Seiko Sportura Chronograph
40mm of integrated noughties design
Choose wisely!
Oh man, this is so hard. I hate chronos and am not big on black dials, but 40mm is a better size and the integrated bracelet probably wears better. But that shine and bezel bric-a-brac. On the other hand, blue is a real color and one can swap straps on the quartz Citizen. But it has those plongeur hands with their centerlessness that I don't like.
Okay, the dullness of titanium is making me choose the Seiko but I'm not entirely happy about it.

On a hopeful note... There aren't any dive watches in the final two pairings tomorrow and the day after 👍
The design of the seiko looks very of it's time. I have a similar, at least of the same time period, Citizen chrono. I like the materials movement, but it's like old retro futuristic. Like something from the matrix! So I loop around to thinking it's a really cool watch, still don't wear it a lot. That's why I'd go with the citizen diver.

I have always had a secret preference for Citizen over Seiko. It’s the hands.

The tool watch will almost aways win for me. I'm not a Seiko guy nor am I a chronograph guy either. But a good diver can be dressed up or down.
Neither. The Citizen is too large and the Seiko is too kitsch, next!

Stay tuned! 😉

I have a weak spot for divers, gotta be the citizen!
Citizen Divers look great on the wrist and last forever
