A friend's old Omega watch - How much do you guys think it's worth?

Asking on behalf of him. He says it hasn't been oiled for 20 years so definitely needs a service. But it's still running, even if inaccurate. Says his dad bought it between 1956 and 1958.

Will do! If he does end up selling it them he promised to sell it to me.

I have no idea what the price would be but it’s a stunner and I’d pay to have it serviced and keep a bit of history ahh so nice…!!⭐️🕒and enjoy it ❤️😊

Totally agree with your sentiments it’s just so beautiful …!!!!🤩

Tell him if he uses it in it's current condition he'll likely do some damage to the movement. It'll be worth more serviced than not. As is 3-400 bucks is my guess.

Dont worry, I already scolded him for using it without getting it serviced for so long 😂

I'm bringing it home so I can replace the somewhat broken bracelet with a leather strap as per his wishes.

After the weekend is over I'll visit a friend's shop where I can get it serviced for him. Hoping everything goes right.

In this state I’d say $500-700.

Having said that, I think this is a fantastic looking watch - would service it and have it (sparingly!) restored, new strap: you’d have an absolute stunner on the wrist.

From a model family, year and condition standpoint, more likely than not 4-600 USD.

However this is definitely a watch worth servicing, using, and keeping in the family for sure.
