Timex Expedition love. Let's see your daily.

Wearing my reliable Timex Expedition for my errands and for some last minute Xmas shopping today. It's my favourite daily beater, even if I can hear it ticking from across the room. It's my fourth Expedition and I keep buying it whenever it stops working or I damage it.

What's your favourite daily? What's the beater that you just can't live without and will always have in your collection?

This.

Bought it for my Dad 3 years ago, he wore it for a while then decided it was too expensive so I bought it back from him (he put the money towards a car for my Mrs, bless him)

Its an early Quartz Aqua Terra, my gran & go, do anything daily. Recently put it on the Artem Sailcloth and it's made me want to wear it even more..

"only" a quartz, but it's mine and I love it. 😉👍🏻

I own that very same Expedition Scout and it too is one of my fave daily drivers! 👍

Mine doesn't seem to tick that loudly though? 😉

That's a beautiful watch. I wish my daily was an Omega! I am liking the strap. I feel that your dailys have to be quartz so try not to bash them too much.

It's good, isn't it. For just over £50, you can't go wrong. It was initially the yellow second hand that sold it to me. How? It seems to have the loudest movement of any watch that I have owned. It's got a basic Quartz movement and I can't understand why it's so bloody loud.

It's a DS, which is an offshoot of the Citreon DS3. It's part of Stallantis and it's their luxury segment. It's similar to what Lexus is to Toyota.

Interesting, I'm not familiar with too many startups

It's been in Europe since the 60s but was revived in the early 2000s. You don't see it on the road a lot which is what sold it to me. I don't think you can buy it in the US.

You're probably right because I've never seen one or even heard of it until now

That's nice. Ive not seen that model before. I am not a massive fan of digital dials but I do like the look of this one.

My Casio Edifice is my daily .. solar powered, 100m water resistant, put it on and go. Even to switch to a NATO strap is easy. Happy Holidays!

Longines spirit 40mm is my daily wear. Very comfortable and super accurate.

The design dates back to the 90s I believe. Expedition Atlantis is what they're called (because 100m water resistance) and maybe discontinued .. idk

I might have to stock up because I'm liking it as a daily work/beater

·

I have it myself, great daily watch however the ticks a little distracting when in doing deep work haha otherwise great watch!

·

Flippin great watch

You may have seen the original model from the 60s

Ha! I only have 4 watches and they’re ALL beaters, but my favorite is the Militado chronograph. I rotate them around every couple days. Today I am wearing my Bertucci A-2S. Oh yeah, I also have a Timex Expedition with a resin case and acrylic crystal which is super lightweight that I like to wear for my daily run and while backpacking!

Beautiful car. Made famous of course for its wacky but pioneering suspension. The modern DS is a great car I reccomend it.

Nope, never seen it. My dad wasn't even born yet in the 60s 😂

The Expedition Scout is so good! I've worn the hell out of mine, for sure!

My favorite cheap and reliable daily is definitely the Casio F91w. ❤️

Timex is still producing the Atlantis! It got a bump in popularity in the last few years because David Harbour wears one in his role as Sheriff Hopper in season 4 of Stranger Things. Timex even made a Stranger Things collaboration Atlantis.

Oh that's awesome! He wore the silver case one which I also like. Looks much more retro than the black.

PS your Expedition looks great on the leather nato 🤌

·

I have the same watch and love it!

My daily is still my Orient Mako II Blue dial. There's just something about its heft n the metal bracelet that makes it wear really comfortably on my wrist. N those electric-blue sunbursts n that clicky bezel? Wayyyy cool. 😎
