No... not really. My dad handed me his watch and said "It's broke. Fix it and if you can't find me another cheap watch." All it needed was a battery and a deep clean. A really deep clean! I did the best I could and to my surprise the thing actually works!

Thanks! I want to take apart all of my watches now ๐
Serious question how do you clean a quartz watch? did dust get inside the dial?

The movement was fine. It was more the case and bracelet that needed the cleaning. It was gross.
Never seen that brand. Looks like a riff on the aquaterra design brief.

It's nothing special at all. Just a cheap sort of fashion watch off Amazon with the most basic Miyota movement. My dad is a one watch guy. He buys cheap and when he kills it he gets another cheap one.

I get it now. Yeah most people do not wash or clean their watches. I dunk most of watches on dish soap and hot water for 20 mins then play with the bezel while rinsing it with water. I made the rookie mistake of trying to take off the bezel and scratched the body of the watch. Soap and water would of fixed the issue lol live and learned. Chronographs I don't risk it.
