My MoonSwatch Story 6/4/21
I wanted to share my watch buying adventure with everyone, I hope you enjoy it.
I am on vacation in Paris with family. We don't have a Swatch store in my city, so I decided why not stop by the Swatch store while in town. I knew that supply is still an issue in Europe, especially since the announcement that they wouldn't be sold online.
When I arrived I was supposed to see that I was #25 in line, even though I came 2 hours before the stores opening. I was greeted by some friendly fellow watch enthusiasts, as well as some flippers. We heard from people that had also been in line yesterday that they only had 5 watches the day before. As we waited, the lime grew behind us. 4 security guards arrived and sectioned the line off for everyone that queued behind us. By opening time, I counted 80+ people in line. They only had 20 watches in Earth and Venus. Everyone after that was told to go home.
At this point I was determined, and arrived 3.5 hours early the next day. Luckily I did, because I was proudly first in line. A friend I had met the day before was second. Once they opened, I was happy to learn that they had Moon, Venus, and Jupiter available. This was great news because moon was my #1 pick. The staff was visibly frustrated by the whole ordeal. I found out later that they only had 4 watches for sale for the entire day.
The whole experience was crazy, but I figured I had to try while here.
I am new to the watch community, but eagerly growing my collection. I am a welder, and my other hobbies include vintage motorcycles and coffee

It’s a really nice story - glad you both decided to keep in touch AND the fact that’s two more Moons kept out of the hands of flippers!
