As an artist, I’ve always appreciated the aesthetics of classic wrist watches. However I didn’t begin learning about the technical/mechanical aspects until my mid-40s. Now that I’ve been fortunate to add a few pieces to my collection, I plan to take courses in watchmaking in the near future
So weird… I just randomly ran into a dude wearing one. We talked for awhile and he eventually took it off so I can get a better look (I didn’t put it on though; I feel awkward trying on someone else’s watch but that’s just me). The sandwhich dial really caught my attention. Is it a sign perhaps?
Congrats on the new watch. I’ve been overlooking Panerai because I have a small wrist. I made the unfortunate mistake of assuming all of their watches were over 40mm. I need to take a moment and visit a boutique.

You are not alone. I am a proud owner of a quartz Tank and my second-hand ticks once every fifteen seconds. I realized this within the first week of ownership during a bonding moment with my watch!
Embrace wrinkles, grey hairs, arthritis and such as a privilege ! They represent life itself. Whatever watch you choose to wear is simply the accessory. Enjoy what YOU like
