Electronic Cartier Tank owners. How many times a minute does your watches’ minute hand tick?
My Solarbeat 2022 ticked twice a minute - exactly every 30 seconds.
This little must de Cartier quartz ticks three times a minute - exactly every 20 seconds.
Just wondering if it’s because one was Solar - or if maybe all of them tick every 30 seconds now. Presumably to save power.
So how much does yours tick?

Ahem “minute hand”
Never had a Cartier but I have seen quartz watches where the minute hand will tick in 30 second intervals and others that tick at 20 second intervals. Pretty sure both were solar powered.
I'm sure both of yours are working as designed.

Thanks for introducing me to something I've never noticed or thought about before in a quartz. Now I'm going to have to see what my non Cartier watches do 😞
only have one Cartier and it’s quartz so can’t make any comparisons but I do have a Solar Seiko but that’s not a good comparison though …
Also go outside, smell the flowers take a walk, grab a pretzel or a hotdog, drink some coffee… it will do you some good…

My Citizen moves the minute hand every 15 seconds — at 00, 15, 30, and 45 seconds.

You are not alone. I am a proud owner of a quartz Tank and my second-hand ticks once every fifteen seconds. I realized this within the first week of ownership during a bonding moment with my watch!
I also have the solarbeat so you already know this one 🙂 I'll get my Tank Française Chronograph (the Piaget Chronoflex movement) from service today. I'll let you know :)

I finall checked haha my Tank Française ticks every 15s 👍
I enjoy discussing these technical stuffs too. My large solar beat ticks every 20 secs.
