State of the Collection 2022, Part 2: Casio Boogaloo

Back again to continue my SOTC with part 2, where I delve into the God Tier of watches, Casio.  This is a part of a series Part 1: The Top Ten, Part 3: Return of the Timex, Part 4: The Others.

Just gonna jump right in. No ranking this time as they are all God Tier, but starting in the top left with the G-Shocks.

G-Shock GM2100-1A:

I really wanted that integrated bracelet look, but I also wanted to go full-metal for the dial as well.  The easy solution was to get the GM2100 and mod it.  Cheaper then the metal bracelet retail ones and a nice cohesive design.

G-Shock GA2100SKE-7A, GA2100SRS-7A, DW5600SKE-7:

It should be clear by now that I really want a CasiOak Jellyfish and I'm just compensating.  Just want to be transparent up front. I love the transparent band watches for one main reasons, and that is that I get to see my wrist tattoos clearly for once.

Casio DW290-1V (Mission Impossible Watch):

I don't think it is possible to not love this watch.  Outside of the iridescent CasiOak this is easily one of my most worn of the group.  It just ticks so many boxes for any mission.

Casio AE1200WH-1CV World Timer:

Pretty much anything you need in a watch.  I really like wearing this a lot as well.  Is a mainstay during F1 season so I can track the different time zones when I'm half awake early race weekends. 

Casio CA53WF-2B Databank:

I'm a 90s kid so the 80s aesthetic of the regular calculator watch didn't have the same nostalgia pull for me as some, despite my love of movie watches (Back to the Future).  I just think the modern design is clean, cool and makes the watch feel a bit more expensive.

Casio A100WEGG-1AVT (aka The Vader):

While the other colorways in this model give off strong Trek vibes, I like to call this colorway the Vader.  Strap this on with all black and my DC Vader Shoes and I'm good to go for the day.

Casio DBC611-1VT, AQ-800E-7A:

I like these because they are angular and have a unique silhouette.  Not much else to say.

Casio A1000MG-9VT:

I really love the mesh bracelet on this.  One of the best for the price.  They have them in silver as well. The A700WMG-9AVT is probably better value but I like the thicker bracelet and cleaner watch face.

Casio A168WG-9VT:

Straight up class. 'Nuf said.
