Hey all, I was at Bloomingdale’s looking at Longines for my wife and the sales person suggested this for me…I wasn’t looking and I never really looked at Tag. This is the Carrera Calibre 02 which i surprising like but I can’t do the 6k price tag. Got any suggestions for an affordable alternative?

If yuu is u go on Chrono24, there are new examples for sale for ~$4k.
Pretty different, but off the top of my head, this Baltic
Mostly I’m just wondering when Bloomingdale’s started selling $6k watches.

Very true I found a few used! But for that price I could get a speedy…black bay…Chrono24 is a drug hahah
Don’t know any good alternatives, 6k is a very good price for a full featured chronograph. For perspective one tier up is the Speedmaster, but cheaper chronos use cheap 2 counter movements
Ah ok…here are some most are cheaper

Exactly this. You can even probably find on the grey market for $3.5k.
Mido multifort patrimony chronograph
If you are paying about $2k for a mechanical chronograph, it’s going to be chunky. Nothing wrong with that, just be prepared.
The non-chrono ones are more like 3200.
I love the look of the Carrera. That classic vintage racing look and feel. It's a tough choice between this and the black.

def, i think i would lean toward the black one, blue was a bit hard to read
The new Glassbox is actually pretty good for the price, or maybe you can get a used Speedmaster or a little less of that price and have one of the greatest chronographs
