A Chinese brand watch that sounds to good to be true
Hi watch peoples, in the past few months i've been contemplating whether I should buy a watch I saw on AliExpress. The watch in question is the Boderry Voyager, a titanium case sapphire crystal miyota automatic watch for just 90 USD. I know it sounds amazing and even better are the reviews for it. Everybody likes it, the one bad review is that the customer was sent the wrong model, which was corrected shortly after. So it does show some colors of being that cheap for example I believe there is no hacking and the second hand sweep isn't the best, but i think for the money that's something that I personally can tolerate. I just wanted to get a few more opinions on this topic to see what other people think because I think that this brand is somewhat new. Would love to hear you thoughts!

If interested in this type I'd personally also look at Bertucci. Unless fixed lugs are a no go.
They might be a little bit higher in price but they are the OG for this style.
Also look on eBay or directly through Bertucci's site at their used/factory seconds for cheaper pricing.
Their Retroform Resin with Ameriquartz is 👌🏻.

For 90 USD, just buy it and try it? You can likely resell it at a small loss if you don't like it.
I agree with @solidyetti . Bertucci makes great great field watches. Though for 90 dollars I have considered one of these myself just to try.
Measure all Chinese watches by the parts bill. Anything without a Japanese movement can give you trouble because the Japanese know how to lubricate things and the Chinese are hit or miss. That has the old Miyota 8xxx series which is ok but sucks compared to the NH3x Seiko. Tandorio is a discount brand that uses them for a few bucks more and better movement.
For $90 I'd say it's worth the risk, you never know it might just surprise you. If not sell it on.
If the movement is listed as "semi-automatic", don't buy it! 😄 Also, there is absolutely no shortage of this style of watch on Ali. There should be plenty of options in a price range that allows you to play around a little.

My 10yr old beats the... stuffing... out of his Boderry, and absolutely loves it. Probably runs 1min fast per day, but survives regular showers/baths and "parkour" attempts.
