Rubber (Straps)

Now that summer is here, I've been interested in adding more rubber straps to my strap collection.

The first one I tried was a curved end one, from a Chinese company off Amazon. Honestly I loved the look- it made the Mako II look more like those expensive watches. It was quite soft, and comfortable on the wrist. However, the curved end link did not stay in place (creating a noticeable gap), and ultimately this bothered me too much to keep.

The second one I got is a replacement strap for Swatches. The lug width is 17mm with an aggressive taper, which makes the strap and watch look rather dainty. The overall look does make my particular watch resemble Hublot's Classic Fusion - which could be a good or bad thing. Overall the strap is pretty comfortable, we'll see whether this one's a keeper or not.

I recommend straphabit FKM rubber straps. They add a bit of weight, but they feel high quality and some versions have a slight curvature so they hug your wrist more.

I like the rubber strap/Swatch pairing. These are rubber straps I have that look good, are comfortable, and didn't cost too much money.

I have one by Alpine that looks a bit like a leather strap.

There was a company on Amazon called Lwsengme that made perforated rubber straps. These were cheap (about $8) and seemed really thin, but they look great and have held up well. With all the holes you get a perfect fit, and the keeper has a little nub that fits into the last hole, holding the tail down.

And my favorite is by strapsco. It's a 21mm rubber rally strap. I bought it for my big Seiko NeoClassic Quartz. I was just going to settle for a 20mm strap, but I found this - a perfect fit for the Seiko's 21mm lugs.

Awesome! Thank you for the suggestions, I'll have a look at them.
