What's your favorite watch in your collection?

I sometimes get asked what my favorite watch in my collection is, and I find this a very difficult question to answer. If I had to sell all of them except one, which one would that be?

Theoretically I should be able to find a fav in my collection, since many are gada watches and therefore somehow comparable, but I couldn't (and thankfully don't have to) decide.

Do you have a favorite in your collection, that would be the last one standing for you?

Interesting that you have 6 black dials, and 6 white/champagne dials. I think the last one standing in my collection would be the Tudor Ranger or Monta Triumph.

My Rolex OP was my first Swiss automatic watch. Its small and classy. I hope to pass it onto my niece someday.

Yeah that is one of my collection guidelines 😉

The Tudor Ranger seems like a very good do-it-all watch 👍 but I find your Sinn 556 pretty cool too 😉

Very nice! Is that a silver dial?

Before yesterday I would have said unequivocally my Hamilton Khaki Field Auto. Then the Monta Noble showed up in my life and I’m questioning everything 🤣😂

Interesting. I’m currently selling mine (opaline dial). I find it a bit sterile.

Can’t fault the finishing though.

My watch collection is pretty…umm sterile so the Noble is right up my alley

Yes, maybe sterile is the wrong word! Who wouldn’t want their watch reasonably sterile, come to think of it.

I think it looks a lot better with a coloured dial to be honest. 🤝

Thanks!

Yeah understandable, the watches somehow connected to family are so valuable!

Otherwise a nice selection though, always found the JLC so intriguing, but don't know if I could pull it off...

Why wouldn’t you be able to pull off the Reverso? Classic watch, comes in various sizes and designs… try it at your AD

I've never actually tried one on, feel like I'm not elegant enough for it. But maybe I should.... concerning the Reverso, I don't feel comfortable adding another 10k to my collection at the moment (baby daughter, economy a bit questionable, etc.). I've probably already spent too much on watches anyway 😂

My Grand Seiko Skyflake -- it's my 50th anniversary watch.

Well every watch gets its timing

Enjoy life with your family

Btw, got get a nice Reverso mint condition in far below 10k, even 4-6

Wow, yeah you're right.... 6k brand new... but I think I'd prefer a mechanical

And you can find older unique models in very good condition significantly less

My favorite is the Girard-Perregaux 1966 Blue Moon I purchased about a month ago as my first (and probably only) high horology timepiece. It is the most expensive watch in my collection (by far!)

I've got different favorites in different periods (e.g. I prefer sportier watches in the summer), so it's hard to pick a single watch. If I had to downsize to only a single watch it would probably be my Tudor Ranger or my Sinn 556i, because of their versatility. Still, practicality aside - I think I love the most my Seiko Willard. That is one very special watch (even if Seiko's QC is abysmal)

Can definitely relate to the Sinn 556i... Found that to be an amazing watch
