NWA Part 1!! The Willard finally joins the collection 😁

Little late to join the collection but I have the Willard finally. I made the right choice with the color, the green is so dynamic. By the time I decided to get the green, it was discontinued so had to play a little waiting and finding game to see if I could find one online at a good price. But found a good deal with Sakura.

I unboxed the watch while I came home for lunch, threw it on my wrist and went off back to work. Since it came on a rubber strap, no hassle of sizing bracelets and it was straight put in to rotation. The number of shades the green appeared throughout the first hour just made me appreciate how well done this green dial is along with the aluminium bezel which has a olive shade but plays a lot with the light appearing more of seaweed green most of the time but also as grey and gold.

It was quite a long and busy day even after work so I had enough time with the watch on my wrist till midnight for some initial thoughts. The cushion case is super comfortable especially on the rubber strap. The Willard looks at home with rubber strap so does most Seiko divers, all just look so good on rubber straps. On a super humid day today, the strap had enough breathability and was comfortable. The Seiko rubber strap is high quality, super soft and flexible, doesn't attract lint or fur, good length and thickness. The metal keeper is a nice and premium touch but most would find a rubber keeper to be a better option. Would love to throw on the tropic strap I have but need to get some 1.1 tip springbars. Waffle straps incoming soon.

Everything lines up perfectly, the movement over the day till now seems to be running fast which is a good thing, was running +3 seconds when I set the watch away for the night. Overall I'm happy and now waiting eagerly for tomorrow to get the other new watch sized to wear. Part 2 incoming tomorrow!
