Is it worthy to purchase a GS 9F Quartz?

Are there other Quartz watches that are similar to the GS 9F in precision and attractiveness? Thanks.

I don't think so, this is the reason why Grand Seiko is... grand.

There are the citizen caliber 0100 watches.

Omega quartz or Bulova maybe. But Seiko are the masters...

Ive been debating this same question. 'The Citizen' line, the Seiko sacm150 aka Dolce is a fraction of the price and is +/- 10 spy. The Junghans Mega is Bauhaus, +/- 8 spy without radio signal.

Even among high accuracy quartz, there is a difference. I have a Citizen Chronomaster, and it's accuracy is more reliable than the GS. The primary reason that quartz vary is temperature. And the Citizen samples the temp 1400 per day vs 700 per day for GS. Still, we are measuring a diff of a few seconds per year. So I would say at that point, get the design that you want. Also consider service availability. Some of these models are JDM so warranty and service location is a factor.

Thanks for your input everyone. After a bit of thinking, I pulled the trigger on a slightly used GS 9F SBGX265 on Chrono24.

I think Breitling got something close to it in accuracy, but I think servicing is super expensive 🤔

My buddy showed me his 262kHz Lunar Pilot Chronograph watch. That seconds hand rivals the GS spring drive. It’s a good consideration for a future buy.
