Why deny the “flex” I say embrace it 💪

Firs off let me say these are my opinions and I approve of “the flex.”

What would watchcrunch be without it? Why do so many crunchers passionately deny “the flex” and why does “the flex” have such a negative connotation? How much content would be left if we got rid of all flexing? Here are some of my favorite examples and I can’t wait to hear the opposite opinion for why these activities are not flexing because that’s why we’re here right?

WRUW: this is such a great flex because often times the person is actually flexing their wrist to get the shot. Therefor if you take the time out of your day to publish a photo online of your wrist (often times flexed) then this is a flex (sometimes literally)

NWA: this one is awesome because it’s usually not the person who has gotten a new watch flexing but someone or usually a few people in the comments flexing. However at any rate in my opinion putting a new watch up and saying “check out what I got” is a form of flexing (I’ve done this) and if your watch is worth as much as a car or a house then it is for sure flexing. LoL

SOTC: I mean you’re literally putting up pictures of all your watches and I suspect it’s not because you think they’re ugly or worthless and don’t want anyone to say anything nice to make you feel good but the best sotc flex is when the individual casually ponders aloud “shall I add a Vacheron or a Rolex to the collection this year?” LOL that’s a flex.

Lastly, and this is my absolute grand champion favorite, the post where the individual is desperately seeking advice on whether to buy the $10K watch or the $50K watch I mean I just have So Much disposable Cash I’m gonna let you decide how I humbly settle on a $40K swing haha

I think these are pretty obvious and decent examples that “the flex” definitely exists so my big question to the crunch is this, why deny the flex. The flex is real!

Well you took that quite leterally my man but let me say, and I mean this, that is the most impressive flex I have seen on watchcrunch ever!

I struggle with these problems everyday.

Should I get the 1.7 million dollar Richard Mille RM 47 Samurai, OR a $600 hamilton?

Great take, I like this a lot. 🌈

I love this, a Vet gets it. In fact we should be able to F with each other over flexing but I think most people are way too sensitive. I think to some people this is actually a serious hobby, that is to say they think it really matters. 🇺🇸

Thank you!

Price is relative but on WC most NWA Flexeseses 💪seem to be wholesome / genuine. I find it's mostly people just exited about a new watch they got (myself included).
