Pilot Chronograph Battle

Finding it really hard to decide between the 2 of these. The Bigeye is on sale with over €1k off. Wasn’t planning on making a purchase for a few months but that saving is nearly too good to miss out on. The Spitfire is a monster though and would look great on so many different straps with the black dial.

My vote IWC. But you can’t go wrong either way.

·

I like the big eye in peacock blue. It’s unique and stands out, that calf leather strap is extremely comfortable over a long period and you can always get the big pilots or mark 20 later when you fancy an IWC.

Good luck.

·

Definitely can’t go wrong either way but for me it would be the Bigeye!

·

IWC might be the more respected watch but Big eye in black dial for me is an interesting everyday option.

·

I love ıwc but that patroleum blue on longinges big eye is Irresistible

·

Longines does it better. Value and style.

·

Tough call! Both look great

·

Love the Big Eye but it has to be the Spitfire.

·

IWC is timeless

·

Love the big eye. It would be my choice. To bad they cover up the movement.

·

Longines for me

Very true! Did you find the strap very short?

·

Bigeye without hesitation, but please check the SINN :)

Longines have some quality pieces alright, bigeye flies under the radar!

Get so much for your money with Longines, have the spirit which is a great watch.

Love the Big Eye but it has to be the Spitfire.

Spitfire is definitely a bit more rugged looking, which is what I was looking for initially!

True, was looking at the 3 hand spitfire that you have too but already have a Longines Spirit, so that kinda ticks the box for my everyday piece.. love the Spitfire in red I think they missed a trick on the chrono omitting that!

Movement is actually class looking, such a shame!

Longines for me

Longines are so underrated

The Sinn is really nice can’t see past the hand style though, something doesn’t sit right with me. I wish it did as it ticks all the other boxes. Also no ADs anywhere near me so I can’t even try one on.

Not really. Works well for me.

Yes the black dial is also an option, for some reason I can get the titanium version for cheaper at the minute than the stainless steel version!

A lot of folks myself included do not favour titanium due to its inherent lightness,a plus for many but not all! I know the blue dial is very popular, just believe the black dial will be more lasting.

·

IWC gets my vote. I hate cut off numerals like on the Big Eye, and the Spitfire hand set is gorgeous and has much better visibility.

Time to break out the lucky Quarter!

·

From your profile I see you have a Longines and Tudor already. I’d go for the IWC for diversity 🥂😂

·

I’d consider this if I were you.
