Why day of week not important?

I mostly find Seiko 5 have day of week with date. Wouldn't it be nice to wake up and know what day of week it is? Saturday is blue, Sunday is red.

What is your opinion?

Sorry, but day date watches are a red line for me. I would never buy one.

I’m good either way with the day date complication TBH. It feels like a fancy function that is really just more gears to fail if you change the function at the wrong time when it’s already engaged. But again I’m down for it either way as long as it is designed well into the Dial

It's not really important to me, and not everyone has a Saturday to Sunday Weekend.

·

I'm not a fan of the day date function however the Seiko 5 is an exception 👌

I rarely forget if it is Saturday or Sunday. The blur of Tuesday thru Thursday is where I lose track. Unlike date, I can usually do some mental jumbling to figure it out (I had Prince spaghetti yesterday, so it must be Thursday today). I have two day and date watches and both mean serious business.

Not a fan of day or date function on a watch, even though I have a few. I always know what day it is, but never the time from minute to minute which is why I wear a watch! ⌚

Casio digital does it best, no adjusting 👍. If swapping watches regularly, sometimes painful when picking which watch to go with your outfit and having to adjust whilst rushing out the door.

Dislike the date function. I've got a reasonable memory 😉

Saturday and Sunday are very different days for me as I am not a heathen. The Timex Easy-Reader is my quartz day/date.

Way back in the past as a one watch man. Day and date was a must now with many watches just a few is worth having.

Forgive me Mr. S but I will glom onto your post here because you already said pretty much what I was going to say. I did in fact ruin the quick-change day/date function on my Seiko SNK807 by trying to use it during the "witching hours", and I knew perfectly well it could happen. Just wasn't thinking clearly at 2:46AM or whatever time it was.

I like a date function but I always know what day it is. For example, I'm writing this on a Tuesday and I DIDN'T HAVE to look at my watch!
