NWA - Timex Marlin Moonphase
So I got the email ad for Timex’s latest Marlin, the 40mm Moonphase. I was itching to buy a new watch and decided to add this Moonphase to my collection.
It’s my first Moonphase and perpetual calendar watch. Took me longer than I care to admit to figure out how to change the date but I got it running.
The watch itself is beautiful but the bracelet is horrible. It’s advertised as a 40mm stainless steel bracelet watch. It feels like the cheap Ali Express replacement bracelet I picked up for my Seiko. It sucks. I will probably throw this on a new strap.

Took me a few attempts to set it but not that bad once you know how. I checked the current moon phase but hard to tell on the watch until the next full moon when it should be centered.

It’s big at 40mm but doesn’t feel overly large. Fit nicely under my cuff and not very heavy.

Some call moonphase complications useless. I love them. Reminds me of the grandfather clock in my house as a kid.

I believe it’s Quartz. Reference TW2W51300VQ. I was thinking a blue strap would look great!
