Classic, for inspiring Bauhaus watches. Irritating, for giving Daniel Wellington and their ilk a veneer of respectability.

Does anyone besides pretentious architects and artists wear this sort of thing, or even know it exists? I'm not counting the copies that tend to accidentally slip in some style or are forgiven by nature of being barely double digit watches.

I do and I'm neither an architect, nor am I an artist. IDK about pretentious, tho.
Anyway I own and wear a Max Bill Bauhaus. I don't wear it very often because while it's only 38mm in diameter the lack of bezel makes it look larger than it is on my wrist and while long sleeves would solve this issue, it's austere design is not a good match for most of my wardrobe.
I wonder the same thing. I hope we get an answer, if there is one.

I wear one and I am not an architect nor an artist nor pretentious (think though 🤣). I love the fine lines, the domed glass and the ease when looking at it. You instantly see the time and it’s reduced down to the necessary without giving the feeling that something is missing.
Simple and functional with graceful styling.
Just for the record,I'm not an architect !
To be honest.
Things like the font and the attention to detail that junghans puts into the little things give them way more depth than first meets the eye.
