Great watch, I could not agree with you more, does everything you need, easy to upgrade/mod. I have upgraded the strap on mine and I believe it elevates the watch beyond its price point 👌
As awesome as the Royales are (I have four modded ones), I actually prefer the convenience and accuracy of Bluetooth connectivity and MIP displays for my older eyes when I travel for extended periods of time.

I couldn’t agree more about the awesomeness of this watch. If you really fall for it, then there is the ultimate upgrade you can do, but itbhas to be worth it to you. That is the stainless steel case with sapphire upgrade.

I can second the legibility of MIP as my old Garmin has just that. That screen under sun is LEGENDARY

Looking up the sapphire upgrade as we speak! I actually prefer the comfort offered by the resin strap and the old school cool if you know what I mean🤣
Can't agree more as I too just picked up 2 AE1200s myself. Beautiful and practical, the ultimate work beater that looks great and just gets the job done. Will likely do the color display mod in time to mix it up. Sapphire glass+ss case mod is tempting but negates the charm of this watch at the MSRP.
