Owning 3 colorful dials and noticed, that I started gravitating more often towards them, because they‘re just more fun to wear. The „classic“/duller ones are still #1 for formal occassions, because they just work. And that‘s just about the point. Formal VS daily fun.
I hate to be that guy but you see what‘s just right next to Longines under the Swatch Group umbrella? 👀 don‘t think that this is due to the Swatch Group. It‘s much more about marketing. (Btw sorry to crush your dreams of a High End Non-Swatch-Omega brand 😂)
There are sayings in many cultures (folklore), that objects indeed can burden some kind of negativity. I personally do believe in this. I‘d let it vanish and tell my dad I lost it. No matter him getting angry, anger will fade.
