@tonmed THEY LOST YOUR WATCH :(

Context - earlier this year I was willing to participate in 1WC after wearing my Speedtimer for a straight month. But the rules were clear - you need 7 watches to participate and I was one watch behind. So @tonmed was glad enough to provide endorsement for me and sent me his Casio A158.

Oddly enough the post office haven't provided the track number and my post office also completely ignored the parcel. Usually I would see an incoming delivery in the app and post usually would notify me via SMS or phone, but in that case - just radio silence. Nothing.

So I waited a bit. Because usually, they would call the second time to say that you have a parcel which is due and you better run and pick it up, before they throw it away. But once again - nothing.

So I went to post office myself at Nov 15 (I know, I know, it's a long time, but it usually takes a long time to deliver something that isn't from Amazon or ASOS or any other big retailer. One of my vinyls I've bought from a private person in Germany been on a road for 6 months) and they confirmed my fears - they never had my parcel. Checked in a system - last parcel for me was delivered in February and since then a full big nothing.

So bad news - a watch with a very cool story behind is lost. Great news, post clerk said that they improved on a logistics and it takes 2-3 weeks for parcel from private person to arrive. But considering consequences I wasn't really happy with improved delivery times. It felt rather salty.

With all of this in mind, I guess I didn't had another option than to buy a Casio watch myself and loosely attach this story to it. And I also decided to go with A168. Been thinking of different color schemes, but settled on a vanilla "steel on steel".

Don't get me wrong, it's an incredible, incredible watch. I can't say that this is "great watch for money", because I think that it's an overall great watch, super versatile, works in many occasions, understated and perfectly simplistic. And the only reason I haven't bought it earlier is that I was waiting for an arrival of now lost A158.

I guess the good part, this watch would always remind of this wonderful community and all the fun of being a part of it.
