Grand Seiko SBGW231 is quite nice as a daily
Some time ago, I couldn't understand what deal indeed was about this piece. However, after buying it, and wearing it - my point of view has changed. So called sport watches on bracelets are awesome, but an understated (small) manual wind GS is probably the very best thing in any collection. It's special. It require manual intervention. It's small. It's classic by design.
Being a bracelet guy, the alligator strap on the SBGW231 convinced me that a high quality subtle strap can be just as good for daily wear. And that is a fact.

That watch is always a treat to see. Just gorgeous in such an elegant way.
This is a class above. This, alongside the JLC master ultra thin, are two of the cleanest, modern dress watches. In many ways the GS outdoes the JLC, as it’s more versatile, and can play the role of a daily as well.

Quite nice is the understatement of the year. This thing is gorgeous.
