What is Vintage? How do you define it?

Saw this vintage (?) Used automatic Citizen at a watch auction Instagram account.

Tried bidding and won it for what I assume is quite an affordable price (~ 28 USD).

Just received it tonight and I saw that it got buch of scratches, super weak lume, and some particles inside the glass. But I still think it’s quite a handsome watch.

However, I don’t know much about this model of Citizen as I just got into collecting watches less than a year ago and this is my first vintage (?) watch. Honestly, I’m not even sure if this model is actually can be considered vintage.

What is the definition of vintage itself??

How do YOU personally define “vintage”?

Anyone here care to elaborate?

Any info about the history of this watch is also appreciated.

On paper I've heard anything older than 25 yrs. In my mind, anything older than me. Pre-1979.

Born in 66 so for me anything before 1980
