Budget Mod with the MQ24

Not sure where I was going with this mod but I was basically thought that since I don’t have any purple watch I might try to make one myself.

Basically what I did was:

1. Took the watch apart (quite simple since it’s just a casio quartz)

2. Paint the dial with acrylic, trying to get the marbling effect by combining white and purple and let it dry.

3. Layer on glow-in-the-dark nail polish and put it under UV light

4. Do a sloppy job on drawing in the hour markers and the “nine” roman numeral. Note to self: need to learn to do them better next time.

5. Assemble the watch back together.

6. Add a bit of purple to the strap to make it a bit more matchy-matchy with the dial

And whala…. Something one-of-a-kind for me to put in my drawer of random art projects.

That’s really cool , I imagine you could do something like that with a plethora of colors

Thank you! It’s actually my third attempt at doing a full lume mod. My first 2 didn’t go as well, unfortunately. Good thing im improving
