Switching straps

As some of you may have seen before, I recently got this beautiful Seiko SRPG35. I’d love for it to be a semi-daily watch for me, but I’m noticing that in pretty much most of my shirts, it doesn’t fit under the cuff. Now I know it doesn’t HAVE to fit, but it gets uncomfortable when my cuff pushes it to the edge of my wrist into my hand. So, I think I’m gonna have to say goodbye to the NATO it came with and swap it with a 2-piece leather strap. I still think it’ll look great, and I’ll definitely show you all what it looks like in the new digs!

I posted on your original post that I have and daily wear this exact watch. (Damn I wish I hadn't dropped it face down on the tile floor of the bathroom! Took me a couple/three weeks to even notice but the crystal is cracked. Ugh, but I still wear it ever day. Soooo tempted to seek out a sapphire crystal and have it replaced. But is it worth that? .. Maybe, but probably not from a financial standpoint.)

Anyway.. Difficult to tell, really, with angles and all that in pictures.. but I'm pretty sure my wrist is larger (it's just big enough that standard straps are too short). I definitely do not have any straps that I can loop the extra length back like you have there and I've often seen. there is no extra strap.

I say that to preface that I feel what you're saying but not as bad. It sits a little tall, and the double layer of strap under the watch with any NATO is a thing. In my particular case, it's not really a problem. Every now and again my shirt or pullover gets above it, but as the watch itself wears smaller for me it's rarely an annoyance.

My wrist comes in at 8.25" FWIW

Thank you for sharing, it’s just a wonderful thing that we can change our straps to fit our wrists. So glad that’s a thing! 😂
