Zuludiver octopid

I have been looking at the zuludiver octopod watch strap system www.zuludiver.com . I think it’s a great idea, looks better than a NATO and look’s premium.

Has anyone had experience of the strap system. Did you think it was worth buying and are there any pit falls to the design?

Thank you in advance for any comments.

I have it for an Autodromo Plan B with fixed lugs. I enjoy wearing it. Be sure to get a coupon code. Not sure I’d pay full price.

Pros: Well made, good looking, exact fit, countless strap options, no fabric bulk,

Cons: cost and your comfort may vary as it is not a thin clasp. I’d rather that than have the eye sore that is a NATO fold, but that is me.

I have it on this Gen 2 Seiko, it's definitely better than a NATO (I too hate the folding excess sticking out) although I would say it's not as simple to fit.

The Zulu straps are quite sturdy and not very easy to weave in and out to secure them in the Zulu clasp, it gets a bit fiddly to get just right so it's definitely not something that you'll be throwing on a different coloured strap every day, it takes a bit of finessing but once you've got it, they're great!

I have one a liked the balance in weight it gave to my Speedy but it was a little sharp in places and dug in. Now I was not using it with one of their straps as I bought it on its own, I was using it with a nice perlon I have and it worked well, fiddly to set up but looked good. If it was not so sharp or did not dig in as much it would have stayed on the Speedy for a while I think.

I've enjoyed mine, when using it I find I don't switch it out as often as I thought I would TBH.

If you’re creative you can cut a nato to work. The straps are often on sale for relatively cheap, then add a discount code. Easy to get under $10 if you time it right.
