Do you have a watch that you always go back with no matter what and will wear for days on end?

I’ve been collecting for the past 5 months and it has been a complete joy. I have a modest collection of 5 watches - seiko 5 sport, seiko alpinist, 1977 seiko flyback, 1940s Del Bana chronograph, and an omega Seamaster. The Omega is the luxury watch out of the 5, it is a midsize and it makes it the smaller watch of the whole collection coming in at a mighty 36mm. I wanted a Seamaster since I began my collection and didn’t mind if it was a midsize, till I got it. It took me about a month or two to finally grow fond of the watch. I now love my little Seamaster and will go a week without wearing any other watch. It is a conversation starter and a quote on quote luxury timepiece. Despite it being the most recognizable watch of the collection, I just cannot help but go back to the watch that started this whole journey. My dads 1977 Seiko Chronograph with the flyback function and tachymeter on the face. It’s not a flashy watch at all, if anything it’s almost a little plain looking if you were to see it on someone’s wrist walking by. It could be the emotional connection I have to it being my fathers watch he bought in Argentina 45 years ago. But something about this watch gets me every time. I could go a week without wearing it and as soon I see it I put it on and wear it for a week and a half straight. This could also be said for my other watches. I could wear any watch in the world but I truly believe I will always go back to my pride and joy, my 1977 Seiko Chronograph flyback. So watchcrunch friends, what watch will you always return to and wear endlessly?

P.S.
It has been 3 days since I joined Watchcrunch and it’s an absolute joy.

First off Welcome and Enjoy Brother!

I often wear a Seiko MM300 - just love the dial . I recently was gifted a Marathon GSAR so I'm putting in a few months with this piece. It may replace the MM300 as the go to

My wife bought me a DOXA when we got engaged in 2006.  I don't wear it as much as I should, but when I put it on it tends to stay for a while.  It just sort of fits, in a physical and emotional sense.

The clasps on those seikos are pretty sweet

What a great sentimental connection you have with that timepiece, DOXA watches are so cool looking

I keep going back to the Hamilton Khaki Field Auto. Slim, light, easy to read, fairly durable, and just versatile enough for daily wear.

Last year I wore it for nearly 2 months without switching after it came back from service.

It's been with me on trips, trials, work, and play.

I love it so much I paid to have the movement replaced after a particularly bad day on the farm caused it to get messed up. (It wasn't rational to fix it, the repair cost nearly 50% of the watch, but the attachment to the watch overcame the rationality)

What a strap monster!!! That’s the great thing about a field Watch, it does everything and anything. Awesome to see your khaki is holding up and  hopefully creating more great memories with you.

I’ve been really wanting to get a BB58, it’s such a great overall watch. I don’t want to call it a beater watch but it almost is, I’ve seen heard many people talk about how much they’ve done with their watch and how much it’s stood up to the elements and what not. Great choice!

I’m drawn to this like a magnet, it just has a different look than my other watches.

Been wearing my Zelos Comet 💫 more than anticipated.

Thin Swiss handwound movement is so comfy on the braided perLon strap - hardly know it’s on wrist!
