My son and I are in the design/prototyping phase of our next collection. The first draft design is with a rectangular case. However, we are also exploring a cushion case.
We were recently at WindUp and WatchTime in NYC and noticed many brands are offering a version of the square case. I think they look amazing.
Many have told us that for a younger brand, this style case can be more difficult to release.
So, I would love to hear your thoughts on square, rectangle or cushion cases. Love them ... hate them ... meh?

Well I love the jlc reverso and the Cartier tank, but not sure if that is gonna help you in your own endeavor.
I personally love square cases. Bell&Ross for example really hit that spot for me look wise. Now I can't afford them, so I got this recently. Square case feels really comfortable and I have been rocking it daily now for past few months. So in short, YES! Square cases are 🔥
My wife will only wear a square or rectangle watch.
I have one square one and one rectangular one because I thought they were unusual. I don’t end up wearing them much.
I’m onboard 😁
I know this is cliche but everyone seems to want/like divers. I like square watches but don’t have any.
Love them but, I have yet to find that one that looks good on me. Cartier is one of my favorites but, because price is an issue I am trying to find one close. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
I love a square case; every collection should have them. But I tried on the Monaco and decided it was too thick. I've heard that getting the crystal for them is a pain. But that was anecdotal. I would love a thin square case that hugs the wrist.
Square cases are not very popular outside of dress occasions. That limits the customer base unless it has a sporty flip feature like the Reverso or the Vario flip square watch.
Its less common than round, rectangular, tonneau or cushion cases, for sure. But I’ve never disliked a watch because of it’s case shape. I think any case shape can be combined with a great design to make a great watch that resonates with people
Have several in the collection and love ‘em. Good luck to you 🤙
After looking at so many posts of the Cartier Tanks and the JLC Reverso, I am contemplating of getting a rectangular watch like the Vario Versa or the Lorier Zephyr.
My wife will only wear a square or rectangle watch.
That's my wife's daily ... Cartier Francaise, medium case. It is a stunning watch.
I love Hamilton Dave! Thanks for your input.
I’m onboard 😁
I like that Tag with the white strap! I haven't seen that one.

Cartier tank is what I feel in love with in 1989! It is pricey for sure. My wife wears the Tank Francais and it's beautiful. She really wants a Cartier handbag ... they start at $3000 !!!!

Thanks Ckim. If we go with recatangle, it will curve to hug the wrist as you are suggesting.

That is one of the reasons we are looking at a modified cushion case. It offers a bit more of a sporty look, but can go dressy as well.

They only made them for a year or so. In 3 colours, black, white and pink. I can’t recall seeing more. It was designed with Tiger Woods. The watch is the clasp so no buckle.
Love a square watch and wearing one today
Thanks Peter. I really like the Herbelin.
