Dear All, Sorry if this has been discussed. I'm looking at the Tudor 1926 in 36mm as a backup to my daily wearer ... not that it matters as much but I...
It seems to me to be proof of what a lot of people have always suspected that Rolex has always been somehow involved in pushing up second hand or grey market prices in collusion with its ADs.
Why start this now, when Rolex prices are actually falling, if not to create a "buyer of last resort" in order to shore up 2nd hand prices if they fall to fast?
A lot of Rolex appeal stems from its perceived unavailability. I say perceived because if you look on any 2nd hand watch sales site there are often thousands of rolexes available at any point in time. Chrono24 usually has an average of 34k at any point. These watches are not unavailable. Yet they cost more on the used market than new ... err why?
I think a rolex is overpriced at retail, for what you get anyway, so i've always thought only a fool buys a rolex at grey market prices... but as they say "not my monkey; not my circus".

They're essentially the same watch bar the wider bezel and Arabic numerals on the Explorer.
If I had to choose I'd take the OP. Its more discreet whilst retaining a good WR. I looked long and hard at the it but I like a date on my daily wearer... however I can not stand cyclops. So I got the GS SBGR.
