Sorry for your loss. Similar situation when my Dad passed last December. Girlfriend's son stopped off at my dads house on the way home from hospital the night he died and helped himself to a safe with coins and 2 handguns. Got it on ring but police wouldnt press charges bc he had a key.
Bought this watch while serving in the Navy in 1993. It randomly appeared in our ship's store during a med cruise. I was a broke as a joke E4, pulling in a little over $1100 a month and made a deal with the SH running the store to hold it and let me make payments. I wore this continually from 93 to mid summer 2014 when it finally died. It was on my wrist for every major moment/milestone during that time including several more cruises and deployments, college graduation, my wedding, birth of all 3 kids and too many family trips to count. It sits in my watch roll now in the 1st pocket and is the only watch I will never part with.
https://www.bartonwatchbands.com/ has some great bands. Their NATO bands are decent but the real winner is their huge selection of quick release bands. I have purchased several tropical, silicon and leather bands and the quick release system makes swapping bands in and out a breeze.
