Strap suggestions for Seiko Lord Marvel

Hey everyone!!

I just got myself my first mechanical and vintage watch, a Seiko Lord Marvel, and I am thinking about getting a new strap for it. The strap it came with is slight too large for my 7 inch wrist and I think it's too thin making the watch looks and feels too small.

I am thinking about getting a leather strap but I haven't decided the color for it. I am setting my budget to be under $50, and I am also open to other strap suggestions other than leather.

This will be my first time purchasing a watch strap too so I really would appreciate some suggestions and inputs!!

Jubilee bracelet without a doubt, vintage brown or black crocodile leather strap

You can totally change the look of the watch with a different strap. From a grey suede leather to a bright pink two piece nilon, almost anything would work.

If you want to keep with the vintage look I would say a warm brown leather would look great.

Thanks for the suggestion though I think a jubilee may be too sporty for me!

A black leather strap would be classy

Yeah I think I am leaning toward a warm brown leather!!

That is a very nice watch. A good strap will really set it off. A nice medium or dark brown (Hirsch makes good ones), or for a little less obvious try silver grey or a medium blue. Good hunting!

Thanks!! I was really surprised I was able to find this watch and bought it for about 200 usd. I have been thinking about getting myself a proper watch for a while now but almost all the ones I was initially hoping to get cost at least 300 usd. This one just strikes the right balance and I absolutely adore the history behind it!!

Lite brown. Something like Ottoody Toffee Brown would look nice IMO.

Vintage mesh or vintage style non-padded black leather.

I might be in the minority here, but the OG bracelet is pretty unique.

Forstner makes a newer variant of the Komfit called the Military Thin-as-a-dime, don't know if it has a more modern width.

If the one on the watch is like the Forstner, it should be adjustable.

If it's of the Speidel Twisto-flex variant, very easy to make smaller, all you need is some needle nose pliers and patience.

Just Google it.

Not saying a new strap won't be 👌🏻, just throwing it out there.

If you are dead set on changing it up, Worn and Wound or Crown and Buckle have good options, I'd vote black but YMMV.

I just picked one of these up and am in the same hunt for a brown option!

Here's what mine came with:

Nice one, that is a great looking watch, I think you definitely need to replace the strap, in my opinion you cannot go wrong with leather either in vintage brown or black. 👍
