Jomashop

Any update on if Jomashop is still good? I've looked at some of the posts from the last month and it all seems legit. Just wanted to know if anyone has had problems with them in the last few weeks?

Edit: Thankbyou everyone who commented, greatly appreciated.

It’s gray market with great prices but I don’t think they give you papers, so not good if want to resell a watch

Last few weeks no problems.

But enough problems over the years that I swore offf them a few years ago.

Common question in watch fora and there are two schools of thought.

1) JS is OK and no problem

2) JS sucks

I've bought (new) 2 Grand Seikos, 1-Brietling, and 1-Omega. All came with papers and boxes. The only thing that they didn't come with are the receipts from an authorized dealer. This can affect the warranty of some manufacturers. JS offers a two-year warranty and 30 days return policy. All of the watches that I received, to the best of my inspection, are new. With all of those watches, I'd estimate about $10k of savings compared to buying them from an AD. I have yet to buy pre-owned watches from them, so cant share any information.

I just bought a Citizen watch from them a couple weeks ago.

They were a bit slow to ship (I had to email them after 3-days. They responded promptly and the watch shipped the next day.)

Otherwise they were fine. I’m thinking of ordering another watch from them this month.

I bought a discontinued Seiko 5 from there and it worked out. They’re the puppy mill of watch sales.

I've brought one Hamilton and it was delivered with no issues and I've been happy with it. I've found in various comments/sources that Jomashop is legit with merchandise. But poor customer service, debatable warranty (Jomashop's version), but great prices

4 purchases in the past year, no problems at all

Oh wow that’s interesting as I bought an Omega from them years ago that did not come with papers just the box. Maybe they have changed their policy.

Bought a Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic last September. Great price, no issues and received it in a few days.

Yeah, I've always found it odd people criticized them so much. They also refund the purchase price within a week of after they received the return.

I had great experiences with them over the years on a few Bell & Ross and Breitling purchases…… and they honor their warranty with no hassle

·

Bought my PRX from them a week ago, best prices around and the shipping was super fast. Bought some other watches from them a while back, no issues. They have a good reputation, most complaints with them are that shipping can be slow if the watch is not in stock

Their watches are authentic, but you won’t get a warranty because it’s grey market, which is why you don’t pay MSRP for it. It basically comes down to whether the warranty is worth the X% increase it costs to buy from an AD, but Joma’s reputation is pretty much as good as it gets regarding authenticity and grey market retailers
