Rolex Submariner Pickup

I got the call today, I'm so appreciative of my AD, I was very persistent and indecisive but luckily he was able to provide me with this sub.

Very happy, I thought 41 would be too large for me but it's perfect. I'm sure I was annoying at times but I appreciate his patience.

There really isn't, I didn't believe it for some time

·

Congrats! I was always interested as to why they made a 41mm sub. Was 1mm that big of a difference?

Me and you both, but I'm not mad at it. Size is good, fits well. Sits on the wrist slimmer than my BB58

The sub case shape is the best case shape in all watch history. It just is.

Congratulations 🎊 I'm having seller's remorse. I sold mine last December and regret it. I hope you enjoy yours for many, many years. It's a fantastic watch!

I am tempted to sell it because I wanted the Explorer, but after wearing it I honestly think I should sell other watches and just buy the 39mm in the grey market in a year or two.

Congrats!

It’s bullshit that you are appreciative of the call from the AD🤬 you’re the consumer, the customer, your hard earned cash. They should be grateful people are still buying their watch. Enjoy it.

It’s an odd thing. My brother for example speaks of long waiting list as a sense of pride. It doesn’t frustrate him at all and actually slips $500 to the AD upon delivery. Rolex makes great watches but their marketing machine has really twisted reality for most.

  1. Absolutely screwed view. If they were limited editions and/or shortages of black bezel no date/date submariners I might run with it. But there isn’t a shortage of literally the most generic looking and common colour Watch you can find, and they want you to be thankful. Hopefully Rolex are potentially, and I say that slightly tongue in cheek rectify this with the purchase of Bucherer!? I don’t hate Rolex, I have owned a couple, Submariner back I. The late 80s which I completely destroyed using for what it was designed for. And an Explorer. But this be thankful we have allowed you to purchase this watch attitude is absolute bollox. Genius but bollox. But ultimately the consumer has accepted it and created the monster.

I think my issue is the amount of people who love watches in my general vicinity that also are more financially available to purchase more watches.

I know the quid pro quo side of it sucks but it's a business, if Rolex wants fabricated shortages then it is what it is.

Im just thankful my AD called me.

Nice watch. What’s the retail on one of those? Do ADs have markups like car dealerships have recently been adding onto the price of cars?

Thank you! It was 10,250, retail as far as I know (Rolex site information).

I git the call three times in the last two months from two Rolex AD, so I say be patient they will call as more watches are making it to the dealers so I'm told directly to my face from a Bucherer watch manager.

·

Congratulations!!

·

YOU appreciated HIS patience? Should be the other way around 😂

·

How long was the wait?

For which watches? I'm going to wait a bit and try for the Explorer but if it's not too long of a wait I might do AD, though I like the 39 vs 40

·

Congratulations!!! Wear in good health!

About a year and a half. Maybe a bit more. Good luck on your searches!
