I have always been enthralled with watches, mostly because of the artistry it takes to create a traditional mechanical watch. Have just gotten into my enthusiast mindset in the last couple of years. Started off with a couple of Longgines, Tissot and Hamilton watches, but looking forward to Obtaining some of my grail watches in the future. I have recently discovered Christopher, Ward, and Alexander Sorochoph. Love their designs, and have taken a dive and purchased a couple of their watches.
Does anyone have any experience with the Italian U-boat Oil-filled watches? I’m very drawn to them and have seen them several times in U-boat dealers...
Thank you all for the input! If I do get one, it will definitely have the battery compartment separated from the oil. From what I understand, and I could be wrong, the oil in these watches is more for show, especially with the inserted air bubble which moves around. It also helps lubricate the internal components. But I’ve not heard anything about it making it more water resistant. Not a diver myself so extra water resistance isn’t something I’m too concerned about.

Personally, I am more of a fan of the PRX. It was actually one of my first “nicer” watches it is still the one I wear most days. I have a couple other Tissots
and I think they are a phenomenal brand for the price.

No experience with this particular watch, but I’m a fan of Tissot, and own two myself. I really love the look of the dial!! The contrast of red and yellow on the dark background with white markers looks great. Contrast is One of the things I look for in a watch dial.
So excited to be part of the watchcrunch community. Excited to share my questions and ideas about new and classic watches. Will tell you that my daily...
