When your passions come together

I recently traded in my old motorcycle and picked up a beautiful 2023 Ducati. I was sitting in the salesman's office and we got to chatting, and I commented on the Citizen Eco Drive chronograph on his wrist. We got to chatting about watches and then he took a pause during the conversation and walked away.

Couple minutes later he returned with this Ducati quartz chrono and said "it's a gift" from the dealership. Pretty cool!

To be honest, I'm probably never going to wear this thing since it's a little flashy for me and a tad too big for my wrist. And it gives off fashion watch vibes, but it was such a nice gesture nonetheless. I've been using the watch box to store my second key and I just enjoy looking at the watch while I'm at my computer, wishing instead I was enjoying the mountain backroads here in New Mexico on the brand new bike.

Do any of you have watches that symbolize other passions in your life?

I have the Citizen Audi watch since that's what I drive.

Congratulations🍻

What a nice gift!

Is there any indication of who makes the watch?

No idea. The quartz movement is Seiko VD53 but no other markings.

I won a contest about 10 years ago and was one of the 10 people who got to try the new (at the time) KTM Duke 125 before its official release in France. This is me in the middle :

It was an amazing experience and they also gave us some goodies, including a watch who was huge for my wrist at that time (and probably still is today 😅). I wasn't really "into watches" back then but I really liked it :

Tiny bike, big watch! :)

The watch actually isn't horrible. Not really a fan of the bezel, but otherwise it's not bad! It has some Sinn vibes to it.

I would have liked it better if the bezel was rotating but it's not... I think you put it just right : it's "not horrible" but nothing more ^^

This watch must be in a drawer at my parent's house, I'll look for it next time I go there!

I almost forgot to ask : which bike did you get? Ducati sure was/is one of my dream bike brand! I really liked the Hypermotard when I was in my "supermoto phase" (I had a Yamaha WR125X when I was 16)

That’s awesome and I’m beyond jealous. Where’s the pic of the Italian stallion with the watch?

Here it is, '23 Monster+ 937. Same engine as the current Hypermotard!

Great bike!

I think it has Tag Heuer vibes, but I guess that could be intentional. I like it, and it's a wonderful gesture.

Sweet bike, had a couple Ducatis myself, but now proud owner of a Speed Twin 1200 .

Did have a Triumph watch when I purchased a Thruxton years ago. Kept the bike nearly 10 years but the watch lasted only a few months 🤣

I've never owned a Triumph but have always been keen to get my hands on one. I like the Speed 3s but not a fan of the dragonfly faces/headlights. I really wanted a Thruxton R for a while. Past bikes are BMW GS, a couple Suzukis (GSXR 750, V-Strom XT), even a Vespa GTS 300 which was super fun.

Congrats on the beautiful bike and a good dealer that gave you a watch. Most I ever got was a t-shirt!

Damn from Vespa to GSX-R 750 through BMW GS that's a diverse biking experience 😅
