If you go used/gray or can get a discount from an AD the Aquis date gets my vote for best diver under $2k

Out

Citizen

Bulova

PRX

Oris Aquis is an option or A TH Aquaracer

·

Lose the Citizen, Tissot, Seiko, and replace it with an SPB143 (but don't pay retail.)

·

Replace:

Seiko 5

Hamilton

PRX

Best Diver under 2000:

CWC Royal Navy Diver Reissue (a bit above USD2000🥲) or the CWC RN MK2 Automatic (GBP1,042)

Doxa Sub200T

Seiko SPB4xx 62MAS Reissues (2024 release)

·

My 2 cents: the SPB381/383 is the best looking set of divers under $2k.

Get rid of the Seiko and the citizen since they're both dive watches and the watch you'll get will be replacing them. For the last one get rid of the Hamilton - or the prx but they're both semi dressy white dial watches so you can cut down on redundancy

For the purchase, I'd go for a used Seiko marinemaster or something super high end from Seiko prospex line. I had their spring drive tuna and it was a hell of a watch - just huge

Alternatively, used omega seamaster, quartz variation from the early 2000s. Heritage brand, reliable, unique and recognizable design language

If I had to lose three of those it would be the Citizen, Tissot and Seiko. A Lunar Pilot, Khaki and an Aquis would make a killer trio.

Out - PRX, Citizen , Seiko 5 & the Hamilton

Loving all the recommendations but im still finding myself battling with the hydroconquest. I need to hold these watches in hand to really make a decision. Haha
