I 'cheaped out', and instantly regretted it..

Cheaped out on the most attractive vintage Seiko Quartz I've ever seen, and didn't bid because shipping costs were equal to the watch price.

Instantly regretted it when the auction ended at $42.

So far, can't find another. The way the stripe on the dial continues through the case - kicking myself.

No need to regret, there are many other fish in the sea. It seems it’s not really running all that well and cosmetic condition is just average.

Try and find one..

Just keep casting that line out there and you’ll see something else that you’ll like.

It happens to the best of us. The inverse also happened to me in a mini bidding war for my Kienzle travel alarm clock.

No. This was the one. I have very specific tastes.

Do tell..

I saw a vintage Kienzle alarm clock for sale for about $10. I placed my bid, determined to pay nothing more, until I was outbid at the last minute. Due to the increments, I paid over $20. Not crazy money, sure, but it wasn't the great deal I was hoping for, especially seeing as the alarm mainspring needs some attention.

But you still got it :)

Awe mate... so sorry to hear it's your first regret-- I promise it won't be your last. Many more will get away. I promise. Here is my similar sorry-ass-story: Last xmas I found a vintage SOCCER edition Seiko from the 1986 world cup in EXCELLENT condition. Not like your heavily "tired piece", I didn't pay the stupid $20 dollar layaway fee at the pawn shop. Went home on a Friday. Ran back to the pawn shop on Monday morning. I walked in at 9:30-- half an hour after opening, there were two people in the shop, and I didn't see it on display. - Called the manager and asked where the piece was. Turns out the dude that walked in 5 mins before me was looking at it and bought it!! I was fuming pist. It's been 7 months and I haven't forgotten.
