I’ve always liked the tropical-style strap style. Vintage-looking and can be dressed up a bit. Uncle Straps carries a great version in FKM rubber.

You might take a look at some Christopher Ward options. The just-released Dune or the Sealander might fit your requirements.

I gravitated to divers when we had kids. They’re just less worry when you’re washing dishes, giving baths, going to the pool, etc. I have never been diving.
