Swiss watches SWC Glycine or Hamilton

Yesterdays poll was interesting to see how many picked Glycine and BOLDR. From that I ordered a Glycine Combat Vintage GL0457 (43mm) last night and Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic (38mm) today. But, it...

I prefer no date. But, if they are going to put one don't make it so small that you have to squint to see the number, make it useful

Awesome. I have one coming tomorrow

This is why I love these sites and chats. I learn more :)

Not sure where I saw it but you are correct about Marathon being Swiss made. And I got them being American from this sites "tags" so I'll ignore that haha

Curious why you'd pick those. I thought the tradition of the field watch was to follow the mil-w spec with having numbers. Perhaps that is only the US mil spec and not British (as CW is)?

Marathon is nice! But, I guess if you are looking at the Marathon, why not BOLDR, both being non Swiss made watches (American and Singapore based).

Love to hear your thoughts there.

Just checked it out and very nice watch. But at 36mm that is a bit harder to wear (for me). My 38mm are already too small (old man eyes) :)

I agree and I do have a few Hamiltons in my shopping cart on various sites. Just not ready to "pull the trigger" on those. Best price I found was $384 but other than sapphire and brand recognition it doesn't have as much as all these microbrands (BOLDR, Vaer, SWC, Momentum). Lume and AR aren't necessary but how big Hamilton (and the parent) are they could definitely do something for inexpensive. I wake up a lot during the night (10-15 times) and always glance at the time. A bit of lume wouldn't be rejected ;)

And not picky if it is quartz, hand or automatic.
