Certina DS 2 Precidrive

The newest addition to my collection as a birthday gift for myself. I am over the moon with it, the honeymoon period has taken over. It is an insane value for money, to get this for almost at the price of a moonswatch, but with insane specs. Great bracelet, sapphire crystal with AR, and a super quartz movement with more jewels than any simple mechanical or automatic counterpart. Unfortunately photos don’t do justice, it is stunning in natural light

I'd love to see the case back too! Love me some quality quartz pieces! My preference of movement all day!

I LOVE Certina. What a beautiful chrono. Imagine getting a MoonSwatch when you can have this. Enjoy!

Very nice. What’s the sizing on it?

Price of a MoonSwatch? $900?

I got this on a discount with around 390 $ at my local ad. I’ve seen it cheaper on the grey market or used

It took me some time to realize that the outer track is a 1/100 of a second and therefore the red hand is a split second hand and not the chronograph second hand.

It's a very good looking watch with some serious brains running behind the dial, you made a good deal here.

Great looking watch there mate. I love Certina, they have a fantastic range and offer really great value for money. I think the honeymoon phase will last a little while yet. Enjoy 🎯

Jody paid more than that for a MoonSwatch LOL

Have owned the green version. Sadly, it is just too wide. 39mm would be perfect.

It is wide, but it sits great on the wrist. And it has moonwatch vibe to it, without being a homage

I’ve always liked the style of this watch, but I tend to avoid Quartz. As I keep looking at it, I might need to break my no-Quartz rule…

I had the same attitude. However I couldn't convince myself to buy expensive mechanical chronos, with more expensive maintenance costs, so I started looking at quartz options. I almost went with a Seiko Speedtimer, however that movement is solar, but with zero jewels, and compared to that this Certina blew me away. And it does even today, so its not the usual honeymoon phase. There days, when I prefer mechanical or automatics to have on my wrist, but this Certina made its way in my regular rotation

Bravo very nice.

Many say that this #certina is the best chronograph ever made. I don't know about that, but its features and specs and its amazing 1/100 hand makes it a real candidate for a top "podium" (pun intended).

Great buy!

Thanks, I have yet to see a quartz chronograph with similar specs, so until I find a superior watch, for me this will be the best one ever made

Beautiful - Certina's now get more wrist time than Seiko's for me recently (dont wven know how many Seiko's I own), ❤️ the Certina DS Multi 8 is close to watch perfection for my daily needs (one of my few non wind up watches I own ironically).
