Thoughts on Cuervo Y Sobrinos
I bought this vintage Cuervo Y Sobrinos because I’m first generation Cuban American and wanted something from where my family originated from. I wasn’t a big fan their newer pieces but their vintage selection looks pretty good. What do you think about this brand? If you own one please post it.

I was unaware this brand had heritage. I thought they were very recent. The new ones are large with long lugs but they do have a distinctive style.
You know the history behind the brand so what can I say i love it.

Was completely unaware until recently - there was a CyS concession where I bought my Breitling this summer.
As a bit of a hispanophile I’m really intrigued. Seen a couple of nice vintage style new pieces recently. Love how they spell Taquimetro on the bezel. I think theyre on the shortlist for my next acquisition if I can afford it

I will defend Cuervo y Sobrinos till my dying breath. One of my favourite brands, vintage and modern. Hard to get that right.
I've heard some folks be mean about CyS but I like some of there designs. While not cuban (I'm puerto rican so... kind of like cousins) I've been looking at eventually grabbing one of their watches. I think some of them are gorgeous.
If someone goes to Cuba, please buy directly to an AD or directly to the watchmaker. They have plenty of fakes in La Havana.
