New Islander just arrived.
This is a new Islander model using the Seiko NH34, the Calabro GMT World Time. These were available for pre-sale last weekend and I couldn’t resist giving it a try. I just sized and set it, and it seems to be working great. I’m liking this design so far.

Every other detail is making me oo and nod. The skeletonized sword hands. The color matched, but highlighted date window. The color theme and right amount of highlight color use. The bracelet. What a slugger.

It is a nice balanced design with just the right amount of yellow pop. This one is running at about +2 spd so far. I'm very impressed with this one.

I’m pretty sure it’s a 120 click unidirectional dive bezel, but the action on mine is very good.

I have quite a few Islanders (I think I have 7 at the moment). I've been very pleased with the level of finish for the price. Of course they're not on the same level as luxury brands costing many times more, but I've never had an issue with the finishing, and they seem at least as good as anything out there in a similar price range. One of the great things about Islander is customer service. If you do have a problem, Marc will take care of you immediately.
