Now that the week of rain here is over, I was able to take a few pics of the Islander Bayport in full sunlight. There are some interesting reflections and sunburst effects, and a better look at the unusual color of the dial. The blue seconds hand really pops in the full sunlight too.

That may be my favorite Islander yet.
That dial looks awesome. Is it my imagination, or is there a hint of a purple tone coming through?

Maybe. It’s really difficult to describe this color, and it seems to change in different lights.
Explains why the gray is out of stock all ready. Have to agree with ODB, I love it!!
Beautiful watch. Like many people, I am continually amazed at the quality run of pieces Marc/Island Watch are able to produce while not taking the customer to the cleaners. The dial on your Bayport is sick and when you factor in the specs, you get a lot of watch and then some. I wish Islander Watch all the success in the world and you'll have this watch for many years to come.
Hey! This watch is on sale for Memorial day. Are you still enjoying this watch? Pros and cons?

It's a nice watch, but I did end up selling it. Only because the yellow color of the lume started to bother me a little, and I have many other Islanders that I like just a bit more. But I have to say, I've been considering buying it again during this sale.

Thanks for the feedback! Did you ever test the accuracy on it?

I did put it on the timegrapher and it was excellent. On the wrist it was off by 1 or 2 spd. But Seiko NH35 movements are not always so accurate.
This one is growing on me by the week, looks great. May have to get one.
