GS Snowflake vs Skyflake

Thanks to everyone for helping me decide between the GS and Nomos. Now between the snowflake and skyflake models which one would you choose and why? Snowflake is only $400 more.

I would ask the wife. They have an amazing eye to know color ways to match you personally. She can pull up you entire wodrob, style, and skin color tone in her mind to match you best all in one shot. I took my wife to the Grand Seiko AD and tried on the Skyflake. Before I could close the buckle she said “ that won’t go with you take it off” 😂

I prefer the case style of the Snowflake. Both dials are equally as beautiful.

·

There is option for Winter Shunbun too

I would go skyflake myself. No bad choice here anyways.

·

I’m majorly biased since I’m getting a Snowflake myself soon but given the protruding domed crystal of the Skyflake, which is not too my liking, I’d pick the SBGA211 even if I’m not getting one myself.

Oh yeah I saw a review and he mentioned the dome crystal that sticks up slightly- not a big fan of that

The Snowflake. It’s the “total” package. That watch will go with anything. Whether it matches your outfit or it contrasts your outfit, it still belongs. Get the Snowflake.

Slightly?

You might wanna type in „Skyflake sideview“ into Google, then ;)

Both great but I think the snowflake is already like a classic so I would go with that one otherwise you may be regreting it bc its the face of grand seiko.

·

Snowflake. More versatile.

If you’re still after a sporty dress watch I say the Skyflake. It works well on lots of bracelets.

But if you want a watch that is more of a daily, and a touch less dressy that can do anything, then go for the Snowflake. Plus it has 20mm lugs which gives you many more strap options.

Clearly I love my Skyflake though 🥰

If at all possible, you should try them both in person. Grand seiko dials, more than any other dials I have tried, look different in person. In fact, these two dials that you’re considering look different in sun light vs. indoor lighting. For what it’s worth, I’m getting a skyflake this November.

Yes I’ll try them both on at a local watch dealer

Yes there is a SBGA471 that has a light blue dial but is on a stainless steel bracelet. I guess that’s the closest to the Skyflake
