The perfect everyday watch?

What do you consider the perfect everyday watch?

For me, it’s my Seiko SRPG39. Considering the price, 100m water resistance, solid lume, day date and really nice legibility. This has been my go to watch almost everyday. What’s yours?

I hear the crystal has a funny optical effect due to the shape of it. Does it bother you at all?

Unfortunately my choice changes with my mood 🤔

At the moment I am wearing this sekonda, cost £10:00 on Sunday from a watch fair, had to service and do a slight repair on it but fantastic clarity of dial, lume is great, date and 5 bar water resistance so light you don’t even know your wearing it 👍🏻

Love your seiko very nice👌🏻

Great pick and a great photo too! Mine is my IWC Mark XV on the bracelet, just wears perfectly for any occasion.

I have been turned onto Sekonda by member casiodean and it may be only a matter of time before I get one. Yours looks great. I believe there is a blue dial version of this too. Congratulations on the good price but even new they don't cost much, do they? I like their slogan Beware of Expensive Imitations.

I agree. I love the new Seiko 5s. I have the orange SRPD59. One of my everyday watches is my big Seiko SGEH49P2 Neo-Classic Quartz on a black rally strap.

Your watch in the photo is a seriously good looking watch.

Not at all! That’s actually one of the reasons I purchased it was because of the way it distorts when looking at it from the side. It makes it feel more vintage. To me, this watch feels like the kind of watch you would find laying on your grandfather’s end table. It feels so…. classic. Especially with the black leather strap it comes on.

This watch has a real charm that I can’t seem to shake.

Wow. I have to agree that a pilot/field on a bracelet seems like the perfect all rounder. I’m looking at the Seiko SRPJ81K1, it would be my first mechanical watch, tried on its bigger brother at the AD, early days for me on the journey. Congrats on your perfect IWC.

Thanks, casiodean is your man for Casio and indeed sekonda 👍🏻

The model I have ranges between £25:00 to 45:00 depending on where you buy it from

My perfect every day dress watch for me lately is my Dumoreau DM02 with Salmon Dial. The front and back of this watch are just gorgeous. This American company knows how to design a watch in my opinion.
