Casio ProTrek 6600 Update!
So I received the my Casio ProTrek in the mail and first impressions is….. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT
Insane amout of features that most will probably never get used from haha but still really cool to have.
I was nervous about the size being 51mm but I have to say, I really don’t mind the way that it looks, feels and wears on my 6.5” wrist. The strap that it came with so far is very comfortable and the watch is incredibly light.
Something else I was slightly worried about was as we all know, with a quartz watch, it’s very typical for the second hand to not be lined up with the markers. I’m very impressed with mine because it seems to be hitting them right on the money. I also think Casio did a smart thing with the second hand not making it extend all the way to the edge of the watch so even if it’s not hitting all the marks, it’s difficult to tell and my OCD is happy 🙂
Something else I am extremely impressed with is the lume. I mean, it’s kind of insane. I held by my window for about 15secs to take the pics and then walked into a dark room and I mean, just look it! (Pictured above). It’s not even a sunny day here in NY right now. Very cloudy and grey so yeah, the lume is amazing.
I gotta say, I think this watch is probably going to get the most wrist time for me and will probably be my daily driver for a while.
Highly legible, crazy accurate due to atomic time keeping, 100 meters of water resistance with a screw down crow, day/date, great lume and honestly I think it’s a pretty handsome looking piece as well.
Honestly the only real con I have with it is the mineral crystal but I actually found online they sell screen protectors for the watch (similar to the ones you probably have on your smartphone) so I may get one of those for it.
I think I may have found the perfect watch, for me. 😱

Really glad I found out about this line of watches. I had no idea they existed until a few weeks ago!
