Timex/Todd Snyder

I'm a big Timex fan, mostly due to the fact that it's the brand that started me in this madness nearly 60 years ago. I get a kick out of the nostalgia of wearing some of their more recent reissues. Brings back lots of memories. I'm especially drawn tho their collaborations with Todd Snyder. I wouldn't be caught dead in Snyders clothing but the Timex collabs are great and really well made.

I too am a lover of the trinkets from Waterbury. I have several TS colabs with the Welton being my favorite.  I also have several vintage, bit mechanical and electronic.

Got a military one - don’t like it.
Perhaps it’s field watch overkill for me, but it doesn’t sing to me. I did get it for £25 so it’s not a massive regret.

I have two Timex + Todd Snyder collabs a Q and a military (cream dial).  And I'm considering one of the Todd Snyder Marlins.  Fun, affordable watches (when discounted) with great designs.

Timex collaborations in general seem to be very successful.  Although does make me wonder sometimes, why some of their best designs have to come through collabs, obviously the base watches are so close to being hits in their own right, but sometime it feels like Timex holds back.

Maybe I should create another post, this is digressing a bit but Ive been thinking about Timex these past few days because I just picked up their new Waterbury Diver.  And kinda off topic it's great design but still somewhat flawed overall watch and it's made me wonder should Timex create a more unabashed upmarket line?

From one Timex fan to another, I approve this message and those watches.  lol.  I'm 58 and I started collecting Timex for the same reasons.  I feel your pain and pleasure!

Great looking Timexes. o agree that their collabs have all been home runs as of late.

$20?! wow!! I wish.

You got me @foghorn

Have been retooling my next six watch collection. Opting for the cream dial Timex+Snyder Q, instead of a Citizen Chronomaster, just saved me big bank.

I had budgeted $17K for these six planned watches but with the changes planned, the total is down to $3300. Figure that money is better spent elsewhere.

Have taken on a new roll as director at my hospital with a significant pay increase but am less willing to spend big $ on watches than I ever have been. Getting close to retirement sure changes things.

Super excited for this new Q, my first watch purchase in four months.

One of our MDs, and a fellow watch nut, said I should get myself a watch to commemorate my new job. The Q it shall be!

And I love, that Todd Snyder is printed really small in the bottom of the dial.
